Jersey Football League Champions 1904/05 to 2006/07

The Jersey Football League was founded in 1904 and all winners prior to World War I were military sides, except in 1906 and 1913.

Since then, only in 1926 have the winners been a military side.

The current James Marquis Memorial Trophy waqs presented by the Young Men's Christian Association Football Club in memory of the then President of the Jersey Football Association and of their Club.

There were also the Saturday Football League (founded in 1934) and the Caesarean Football League (functioning by 1938) operating in Jersey alongside teh Jersey Football League at various times.

The Jersey Football League and the Saturday League amalgamated in 1975 to form the present day Jersey Football Combination.

Early Trophies were won out right after a team had won three titles with the first "McLean" cup being one by the 2nd Battalion King's Own regiment after thre wins between 1904 and 1911. The Second McLean Cup was won outright by Jersey Wanderers for three wins between 1912 and 1922. After the third win by Jersey Wanderers in 1922 the Cup was called the "Jackson Trophy" which was won outright again by Jersey Wanderers in 1931.

The Rules were changed in 1931 precluding any team winning the Trophy outright and the James Marquis memorial Trophy was introduced in the 1931/32 Season and the Trophy is still challenged for to this day
