St Peters Football Club

Formed in 1919, St Peters Football Club began by playing in the old Country Parish Football Association in the season of 1919/20 when matches were played on pitches at St Peters Arsenal and St Peters Barracks.

Although experiencing hard times during and after the War, St Peter continued to promote the good name of the Club and Island Football. We were by now playing in the Saturday League and home matches were played on our own Clos de Pauvre ground where we remain to this day.

History shows that St Peters came close to folding for a variety of reasons however, out of adversity, good often arises. A small band of loyal officials and players were determined not to let this happen and worked extremely hard to field a team. This, without doubt gave us the foundations upon which to build the Club into the successful Football Club we see today. It also served to provide the then, the Current and the future Committees with a mission, "To strive to continually improve and set the highest standards in all that we do".
